Data system administration is the process of managing how an IT system works. Most data systems, regardless what tasks they are designed to conduct, are a combination of relatively homogeneous underlying objects and processes. Administration of these processes is hence relatively similar regardless of what tasks the system is designed to fulfill.
System administrators generally create user groups and assign users to them. The administrator will then give the users roles that specify what they can see and do. Members of groups perform tasks such as approving change requests, resolving incidents, receiving email notifications, or performing tasks.
Our experts have often been hired to explore old IT environments or newly acquired static systems (like CRMs or ERP systems) in order to produce optimal ways of utilizing the system, create customized manuals and documentation as well as training users.
